Workers & Dam Safety
Dam Safety and Emergency Preparedness Plan for RPCL will determine vulnerability assessment aiming at evaluating people, infrastructures and properties at risk, as well as possible ways to evacuate, with main actions to be conducted in case of emergency.
The Plan will estimate the dam failure impacts and population & assets to be managed in case of dam failure.
The Emergency Response Plan will also facilitate the development of procedures and coordination between the dam managing staff and local authorities / emergency responders. This will help identifying hazardous condition / procedures / roles & responsibilities.
The Plan will address what would happen downstream, how people and property would be affected in the flood prone area, and how local authorities and stakeholders should be notified of an emergency, including operational appendix such as communication directory, as well as training & updating program and the general organization in the event of an emergency (“who does what”).
