Headed by Brigadier General (Commandant of Senior staff RDF College) Andrew NYAMVUMBA, a Senior Command and College staff delegation did a study tour on the Rusumo Falls Project. The theme was: "Energy Security for Sustainable Development”. The Senior Commanding Officers were composed of different Nationalities (Rwanda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Senegal, Kenya, and Ghana)
1. The general objective was to establish the link between national security and a sustainable energy system.
2. The following are the specific objectives:
- initiative to build a sustainable energy security system.
- Assess the effectiveness and sustainability of the energy security policies
- Evaluate implementation challenges up to the grassroots
The delegation members learned more about energy security and power plant operation in general. In their thanks speech, they appreciated the progress of the Rusumo Falls Project.
