The 15th meeting of ministers in charge of energy in Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi was held at RUSUMO Saturday 30, September 2023.
To assess the progress of the Rusumo Regional Falls Hydroelectric project (RRFHP), three ministers in the region met at the RPCL Administration Building, on Saturday 30 September. The meeting starts with a site visit. One of three machines is already supplying electricity to Rwanda and Burundi.
The project’s implementation is at 99.7%. Commissioning tests of the three units are successful and will be complete by October 2023.
